Following the success of the CIMG mission to Qinghai the CIMG Secretariat is organized a second mission for mining companies and those companies associated with the mining industry to Xinjiang Province between June 20-24, 2007.
The mission seeks to create a platform to increase sustainable investment and trade opportunities between foreign and domestic mining companies in western China. Xinjiang is a resource rich province in China and is relatively more open to foreign FDI than other provinces in China. Those attending the mission visited provincial officials, Axi Gold Mine and Tianshan Gold Mountain Tenemant.
Attendance was limited and the mission was lead by the CIMG Vice Chair, Patrick Powers. The CIMG Secretariat would like to thank Xinjiang CCPIT, CAEFI, Xinjiang BGMR and Grant Thomas for thier help with this mission.
